On February 23, 2004, Momentum held the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for its
new site at Trinity Lutheran Evangelical Church.
Trinity Lutheran replaces Momentum's previous Upper West Side
site at the Stephen Wise Free Synagogue and began operation in December 2003.
The site operates every Monday 11am -- 1:30pm, with lunched served
12:30pm-1:15pm.
We are very excited to partner with this growing congregation and its leader,
Pastor Heidi Neumark, through their social justice initiative. Pastor Neumark
has a long history of working with low-income, at-risk communities, including as
co-founder of Transfiguration Community Life Center, Inc. Her most recent book,
Breathing Space: A Spiritual Journey in the South Bronx,
chronicles her efforts in that resilient community.

Elsie del Campo, Deputy Commissioner of HIV/AIDS Services
Administration (right, with Momentum's President/CEO Dawn Bryan) was among the
many dignitaries who celebrated Momentum's latest achievement.

Dr. Marjorie Hill, Assistant Commissioner of HIV/AIDS Services at
the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygenie and C. Virginia
Fields, Manhattan Borough President shared ribbon cutting duties; Momentum Board
Member Dorothy Patrick and President/CEO Dawn Bryan joined the entire staff in
thanking the honored guests.
